Dr. Jessica Herbert entered law enforcement because she believed there had to be a better way. As a child, her interactions with police came during moments of crisis, confusion, and instability. Later, she became part of the system herself, hoping to understand it, improve it, and influence change from within.
But after 12 years in law enforcement, Jessica realized the system did not value the very things that made her different: her intelligence, curiosity, innovation, and desire to create a better path. She left, built a respected analytics company, and helped public agencies use data to improve outcomes.
Now Jessica is navigating another transition. After years of building Idea Analytics, she is stepping more fully into leadership development and coaching through Asbatra Coaching. This second departure is not simple. It carries grief, roots, clients, employees, and the weight of something she built from the ground up.
