15: You Are More Than the Work You Do – Patrecia Ming Buckley

In today’s episode, Brian chats with Patrecia Ming Buckley. Patrecia is an experienced business development and operations leader living down under in Australia. She has a passion for serving others and has worked diligently to further equality, diversity and belonging in the spaces in which she’s shown up. Patrecia left the consulting industry to reset, refocus and reconnect to the things that are most important to her.

Patrecia Ming Buckley has a BA in Government & International Relations and French and a JD. Her career has included working for the Florida Senate in the U.S. government and partnering with international human rights organizations as a human rights lobbyist at the Vatican in Rome and at the 54th and 55th sessions of the Beijing+15 Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations.

Throughout her legal career, she has worked with various non-profits and international organizations such as the United Nations and is a published editor for a report on discrimination presented to European Parliament. Her career later transitioned into the private sector at one of the Big Four global consulting firms where she spent 6 years before deciding to resign.

Since resigning, she founded her coaching practice as a career coach at Women of Color at WorkTM, and she is a Christian wellness coach at Salt & Light WellbeingTM.  Patrecia was born in Jamaica, raised in the northeast United States, and currently lives in Sydney, Australia with her husband, Byron.
